gmail will not send email out

Out box has lots of emails that did not send. How do I get gmail to send from my phone?
I have a T-Mobil My Touch Slide
 
It may be the SMTP server. Quite a few mobile networks only support their own SMTP server. That's certainly true of T-Mob in the UK.

Try googling the settings for T-Mob in your country then amend the SMTP (outgoing mail) settings in your mail app.
