tried to check gmail this morning, had to resign in. very odd, then it would not recognize my password. what can I do to get gmail password back or how can I uninstall gmail and reinstall and start new account. sgnote with jb.thanks

My first thought is that you need to make absolutely sure that when you input your password, you disable any T9 dictionary. This is because your password will be case sensitive.

You can also go to settings/accounts/Google and tap on your email address, then tap Remove account. Reboot your phone and then re-add your Google account.

Now I cant use playstore from my computer, message says no device associated with account. still no way to find my password.

Perhaps you might want to consider creating a brand new Google account. Do this from your PC and then remove the account you have on your phone and replace it with the new account.

I tried the new 2-stage Google account verification option which makes you use an app on your phone to generate a special validation number key. But this stopped Google account-related functions from working, including Google Calendar Sync on my PC. I couldn't sync S-Planner either untile I disabled the 2-stage system. All's working well now.
