Go back to navigation after/during call

If I am driving using goggle maps as my navigation (nexus 4), when i make or receive a call I want to be able to automatically go back to navigation..is this at all possible with tasker? Will simply running app with a context after a few seconds of phone going offhook work?

Something like that should work.

Ideally you need more than one context to trigger the profile. Something like bluetooth connected & phone offhook run task/ load app/ maps. Then as long as bluetooth is connected, the profile allows for the phone to ring, be answered, conversation etc, but as soon as the 'offhook' takes place, it'll load maps. Might want to put in a slight wait into the task before loading maps though.

This is exactly what ive set up, I will try in the car in a few hours time, I just wondered if - because maps was already running before the call, would it ignore the load app or just load to maps instead of navigation now google have integrated the two. I will give it a try later and see how it works. thanks

Good luck chap.

Just to elaborate, using bluetooth as a context will define the profile as a car profile, otherwise you'll have maps load up after every call hangup even when not in the car ;) all the best

Yes, this all works fine. I just have to work out now how to make so it only works if I have navigation already running.

You may have an issue with just adding an app context. The dialer app being displayed may make Tasker think that the navigation app has exited. You could add an exit task to see if %WIN matches "Dialer" or whatever its called on your phone, and if it does, wait until it doesn't anymore (call has ended) and then open it back up. Or you could watch the "oomadj" value of the app to see if its in the background.
