searched marketplace with "gnu" rather than go and found Godroid. apparently the free gnu go.

I'd love to play Go on my G2 Touch, are there any decent implementations of Go on android? Or anything on the way?

You can play the GO game (aka igo, weiqi, baduk) on IGS server and also review over 44,000 professional games from the SGF Database in one application only. The free app (ad supported) is named AndroidNoGo Lite and was developed by us for Android OS 1.6 and higher.

We tried a build for 1.5 but most of the app features were not available anymore. It is known that the 1.5 users that represent an important share of the market and they will get an OS upgrade to 2.1 soon.

A good GO player is defined by its patience!
