Go SMS Pro restore sms problem

Hi guys,

I backed up my sms using GO SMS PRO built in utility and it gave me a .dat file, which I saved to the SD card and emailed to myself.

Using the same inbuilt restore utility, I restored messages. It says 2000 messages restored and operation complete but no messages appear.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Are there any other programs that can use this .dat file that GO SMS generated to restore my sms? I don't care about using this program anymore, just want my messages back.

I am not familiar with GO SMS, but have you looked in both the GO SMS app and the default SMS app on your phone? It may be that GO keeps a discrete database rather than reads the default one.
