GO SMS Pro - thread count after restoring

Hey guys, I just got a new Samsung Galaxy S2 (version 4.2? jellybean) after I broke my first one (which was android version 2 or something). I wanted to transfer all my apps and data to make the new one pretty much exactly the same as my old one so I bought this app called rerware. At first, it seemed to work because my old thread counts showed up and all, but after some time, my thread counts were all off and they kept resetting back to a certain number for each contact. For example, I would have 4000+ msgs for one contact and after restoring, that number showed up for a few hours, but then it would keep resetting itself to around 204 messages. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or how to fix it? Any help appreciated and many thanks!!!

Did you turn off the delete older messages setting in the messages app? If you didn't, the behavior you are describing is correct since that setting deletes all messages until only about 200 messages are left per thread.

I did because on some other threads, i have up to 900s but for certain other ones that i know i have more than 200, it just shows up as 204
