Help Go SMS Pro

Been using GO SMS since I got my S3 and then my S4 and always had the following problem;

Say I am texting friend A back and forth. When I am in the friends text almost every time friend A sends me a text I get a notification chime. I don't mind the original chime, but when I am already reading the text message I would like it to stop.

Anyway of doing that? I don't see it in the settings unless I am freaking blind.

Help, please!
 
you have it set to remind you of unread messages. it usually gives you a choice of how many reminders you would like select none.
 
Does the pro version allow receipt of MMS messages? I loved the free version, but it wouldn't let me send MMS to anyone who didn't also have GO, and wouldn't let me receive any either.
 
The Pro version is running right now in my LG G2. I used the free one on my former HTC ONE, never a problem with MMS. Wife, Boss, friends, everyone with Iphones. GO SMS APP says: If you have trouble with MMS please go to the stock MMS app's settings and enable MMS auto- retrieve. / So give a check and good luck.

Enable Reminders option is off. I checked this AM. What I am talking about though is not a reminder notification. For example,

You send me a text. I go into Go SMS to read it and as I am reading that text you've already sent, you send another one while I am reading your original text I will get a notification chime. That's what I want to turn off.
 
exactly. have the same issue. While I'm reading the message the stupid thing is still ringing. when I had an iphone as soon as you open the text it shuts off. Not with this SMS pro. I have to hit send in order for it to stop!!!!
 
oh, its because you have both apps running at the same time. disable the stock app and you should only get one notification. sorry for the delayed response

Stock app and notifications have been disabled. The notification is coming from GO SMS.
