Help Go SMS problem

When I switch my X10 on in the morning, in the notification bar there is a Go SMS icon which reminds me about back up of sms messages.
Can this be disabled?

Go SMS is an application you downloaded from the Android Market. I don't have it installed, but I guess if you go in the settings you can disable "Notifications"?

Or you can have it uninstalled and just use the stock Message application.

hey there. i do have gosms but phone off on charge at mo but from my rough memory i believe its in settings i think under GOSMS SERVICES, underneath something like SMS BACKUP & RESTORE. its prob just some schedule backup option that needs unchecking.

Thanks for comments. I have now found the answer.
If I open the backup message fully ( I was just reading the first line of the message displayed) there is a button that can be clicked for no more reminders
