Go to date on Maxx calendar

I upgraded to Jelly Bean a few months ago when the update was released. I use my calendar a lot. I often have to put something into my calendar that is several months and sometimes over a year away. Prior to Jelly Bean I was able to open calendar, open menu and then there was something there called "Go To Date" I believe. This allows you to enter a specific date to go to on the calendar. I cannot seem to find this option now therefore if I want to jump a year or two ahead I have to scroll. Am I missing something or was this feature removed in Jelly Bean? Thanks.

When I setup a new event, it has lines for event info, and time start / time (stop/end) etc.

I can scroll the year up to 2036, don't really use that calendar much.

What I am referring to is when I search for a date....not create an event. For example I may want to check July 22, 2014 to see if I have anything planned. I used to be able to do this very easily (unless I am missing something) prior to Jelly Bean.

Ahh, thought you were looking for a shortcut to check a date, you can input a date in the search and go there I think, I have nothing setup in the future, but it does seem to go to the date. Agenda may get you there also.

good luck

In the upper left hand corner will have like the month or date view listed on it, if u tap on that u get diff options, and one is called "agenda" tap on that and u get a drop down listed of everything u have scheduled in ur calender!

Thanks but I am trying to have the ability to search for specific dates......most of the time several months away. To use agenda view to scroll to that date takes a while. I guess this feature was deleted with JB.

maybe I'm unclear on what you're trying to do

Using search doesn't work for me. It doesn't take me to the date. What format are you using in search to take you to you desired date?

I understand what you're trying to do and it appears that Google has removed that feature from the JB release.

You may want to look at using a third party calender. I like/use aCalender because it will show me the facebook picture in month view when someone is having a birhtday. It has the goto feature in the upper right corner. Digical has the goto feature available from the main menu. Finally , Business Calender has this feature as well. There are many more calendar apps, just search on calender in the Play store...

All of these calendars come in free and paid versions and have many more features than the basic Google calender...
