Root Going back to factory reset

CSPAD

Lurker
I am very new into rooting phones. I recently rooted my HTC Desire and now I am running out of space to install apps onto my phone. I didnt do anything with a2sd+ to partition. Also I am in search to restore back to the rom that came with my phone. Can somebody please walk me through how to do that. I don't know what else you need to know but please let me know and I will assist with everything thanks. I want to start my rooting all over again. I feel like i missed a few steps. I have no idea where to start. Thanks

Root is just root. Undoing and re doing will get you nowhere so have a read of the rooting and root memory faqs. They're in the "all about rooting" sticky thread in the desire root forum.

It tells you all you need to know

I am having a low storage issue on my HTC desire. I have recently used ROM manager to make a partition but now my system is all messed up. What I really want to do is start over from square one. I want to get back to the cyanogen rom screen with no apps or nothing. I want a new clean phone with cyanogen rom so that i can partition again to free up space so when i download all my apps again i will have space on my phone. What do I need to do to achieve this?

Flash cyanogen from recovery and do a wipe at the same time. Read the rooting faqs as this is all basic stuff. Probably have a look at the "do not use rom manager" thread too

No particular program. Everything ROM-manager does, you can do manually. And safer. If you do it yourself, when you've read the guides and faqs ln this forum, you know what you are doing and why. That will keep you out of trouble more than anything .

If you do get into trouble, the answer is more likely in the same guides and faqs. And the very knowledgeable guys that wrote them will be around to answer any lingering questions you may have.
