Help Going to Japan, need some help PLS

I'm going to be in Japan for 10 days. I read that they put in a 3G network so I called Verizon and our phone do work there! Here's the catch, it's 1.99 per min! They have a Global Data Package that 64.99 unlimited data, so I'm putting that on for the 10 days I'm there.

I just got my Dinc last week and I'm a total noob when it comes to it. Is there an app or way to use wifi to place calls cheaper? I've tried searching these forums but I can't find anything.

I believe you can use google voice or skype to make calls. Just make sure you're connected to wifi and not 3G.

I looked into it, and those don't allow WiFi calling. Stupid Verizon.
