Root Going to root, need some help please.

Hi, im new to posting in the forums, but ive been lurking for months trying to get my head around the whole rooting thing This is my phone details and i would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction please, HTC Desire (obviously ) Phone software information..

August 10th 2010, I checked my erase size using terminal emulator and its 40000, im on vodafone uk, but it doesnt have the vodafone branding on the fone or the splash screen so i dont know if its branded or not, i would really appreciate it if someone could take the time to point me in the right direction, also i want to be able to move all apps to sd, i have a 4gb memory card in the fone, and a spare 2gb card in case i need to make a gold card.

Your phone is unbranded. You've done quite a lot of research already. Just go through the rooting faq and memory faq in the all about root sticky thread one more time and you're good to go.

Follow the excellent guides and you'll be fine - pay attention to the Unrevoked section for setting up AmonRA recovery for your erase size though (he says trying not to tread on the senior members toes )
