any Golf GPS app that works offline (lets you download maps to your SD card...). if yes, any of them are free?

yes but this one is only for 5 courses: must pay for more. Do you know of any free & no internet needed (except to download the courses...) golf gps app?

Those are the only ones I found that looked decent from the small amount of time I spent looking.
Go here if you want to continue the search where I left off, plus this way you can just read up on them. I actually don't use any of these, was just trying to help xD.

Please consider Golf Pad GPS (Golf Pad - free golf GPS rangefinder, scorecard and club tracker app for Android and iPhone). It saves course data the first time you play one, so you can use it offline. You'll get distances to the green, but not the aerial maps unfortunately as it's against Google's terms of service.

I'm actually the developer of the app, so I can help if you have any questions. The app is free and it includes GPS rangefinder with distance to front/middle/back of the green, scorecard for 4 players, stats, aerial map, and shot tracker. I can easily make an 18-hole round with 40-50% battery left on my Droid Razr M. There's 27,000+ courses mapped, and it's easy to map one if yours is missing. SkyDroid, lets you store 10 courses on your phone to use offline. Can download over wifi on an old phone so you can rotate courses as you need. Only about $3. Sat view no available with out internet connection.
