Help Gonna Go Nuts!!!

So, loved this phone at first, now I can't stand it! 2.2 came along, installed it, and nothing but problems now. Phone would not work right, would crash when using GPS, WEB, and others. Tried to hard restart it, now even less works and it still crashes!!!
What do I do?
 
Well, just got worse. Turned the phone off, tried to restart it and now it cycles through the startup screen, won't start. Tried pulling the battery, no go same thing....
 
if you didn't do anything to void the warranty I would call sprint or take it a repair center. seems to be an isolated thing. i updated to 2.2 and have had no issues like that at all.
 
Well couple questions. Are you rooted? If so what rom are you running? Any custom kernels?

If I were you I would make sure your apps are backed up using something like Astro then I'd do a fully factory wipe and reinstall 2.2. You shouldn't be having all those problems
 
There's also a data wipe feature in the bootloader, that supposedly does the same thing as factory reset. I'm still having an issue with the phone sleeping/slowly charging when connected to PC, but AC is fine. Even after factory reset. So I might do the reset via the bootloader when I get some time off and see how that goes.
 
Ok, we might be in business. I have been contacting EarlyMon about the issues, he had me do what is written below. The phone seems to be working again...

Arg! I feel the pain.

OK - let's try what worked for another user.

Power down - then power up while holding in the Volume Down key. Might take a little longer to respond - let it.

That will present you with a menu that includes a wipe/clear data option.

Navigate the menu with the volume keys, select item by a tap on the power button.

Do the wipe/clear data (I don't have the exact words at my fingertips).

Then, using the menu - reboot. Please report back, here or in the Gonna go nuts thread are aok with me (I'm monitoring that) - and ok if you want to post this message thread - or permit me to - if you want some group-think to help back you up.
 
Spoke too soon, tried going in to Sprint TV and it said an update was available. It did the update, restarted the phone, and now we are back to the phone cycling through the startup screen!
 
Yup, did the hold the volume and power thing again, did the reboot, and got it to come up again. Went right to sprint tv, did the update and crash bang boom again...
 
Now we are back to the random crashes...
I was moving things around, getting the screen back to how i like it and crash. At least this time the phone came back, didn't cycle through the startup screen, things are looking good...haha
I have call in to my sprint guy, time to make this right!
