So I have found a pretty good battery saving app and app combo.
First is Antutu Battery saver pro by the makers of Antutu benchmark.
And I have found that cpu tuner used with Antutu works rather well.
My huawei Premia, which used to only get about 4-5 hours of battery life, now loses less than 40% in 4-5 hours.
Cpu tuner requires root btw.
I have had about 8-10 hours of decent use.
