Well guys I have officially upgraded to the rush. My poor tired prevail is on her last leg. The charging port is basically fried. It only charges when it wants to and its becoming too unreliable as a daily device.
Now this doesn't mean I'm going anywhere... this has been and likely will always be my home. I've made quite a few friends here and I know this phone like the back of my hand. I'll still be around to lend a helping hand and test stuff as I still have several friends who actively use the prevail and I'll always tinker with it.

Most definitely. We have Odin support and a fully working cwm. Already have a oc kernel and some rom ports. This phone is slowly getting some love. So far I like it. 
I definitely miss cyanogenmod... Lol but its good for now.

Sorry for the delay but been having some PC issues and the Prevail has had to take a back seat on priorities.
Whatever i can get a deal on lol. Asking friends what they have laying around, searching Craigslist etc... GS2 or a HTC EVO 4G maybe. Something that if I brick wont be a total waist of money as the Prevail is the extent of my rooting/flashing abilities thus far. Any suggestions?
Congrates on the upgrade lv and I'm stoked your sticking around . Man you have helped me through quit a few instances where I was about to go insane stuck with an issue. You are a great asset to the Prevail community!

The GS2 is a solid phone. My wife has had one for a while and I rooted it/put CyanogenMod on it prior to getting my Nexus 4(Her phone now has the recent stock T-Mobile Jellybean update). That's another good thing It's one of the best phones available on Boost. Personally now that I've gotten a Nexus device, I wholeheartedly can't see myself going back to dealing with the carriers and their lack of timely updates. Not a fan of gambling and hoping that my phone will still be supported, by either the manufacturers or ROM developers. Updates straight from Google from here on out for me.
Don't worry about bricking the device. Like you this was the first smartphone I rooted/installed ROMs with as well. With all the practice I've had with the Prevail going all the way back to the Shabbymod days. Trust me when I say your skills are definitely intact to handle any device. This phone had monstrous development for a prepaid phone. Best free education I've ever recieved.

I have switched from the Prevail and boost over to the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim and Straight Talk since the phone runs off of verizons network I have much better coverage around here unlike the single bar I was basically stuck with with the prevail all this time.
Glad these forums were here for the prevail to bad the proclaim is basically dead in the dev community but I honestly don't need a new rom or root since I just use it for calling, texting, and music and my my Nook Tablet running CM10.1 for everything else.
