good MHL adapter?

anyone know of a good MHL adapter that works good and charges the phone well so i dont have to worry about it dying.. also price is an issue lol. i prefer OEM stuff but if the off brands work really well i would get one of those. i am just a little confused on what to get from all the ones i looked at...

I bought an off brand MHL Micro to HDMI and it didn't work. I just ordered an OEM version and will let you know if it will work.

Yes, I'd also be interested in which brand you purchased. I was a second person looking at the Menotek one, so I'd be curious if that was indeed the one that didn't work.

I forgot all about it, but saw it was still in my Amazon cart, along with a USB Host OTG cable...

I got the Samsung MHL adapter in the mail today. It's more expensive than the other off brand models but I wanted a legit adapter since my last one didn't work. When plugged in I was able to get a charge and able to transmit audio and video through an HDMI cable.

The Samsung Adapter I bought and worked.


This adapter wouldn't send any sound or pictures and wouldn't charge my phone.
The cheaper adapter that didn't work for me

I bought the iBolt MHL calbles at the Verizon store and they work fine. I signed up for a cheap version on amazon and then they told me it would be awhile before they got them back in stock so I just caved and went to the dragon.

well i just ordered the off brand i linked. .. i called Samsung and they said there are no officially supported mhl adapters... they may work but Samsung probably wont back any atm... so i read the reviews on three one i got and they were positive. one even said you can control your phone with the tv remote
