Good morning

[billaricky]

I am 54 and am becoming a bit technically literate. I have just bought an HTC desire C as I do not want the technology of Smart phones to pass me by. But I am finding it bewildering. Hope that I can understand what you guys are talking about, as it sounds as though it could be useful......

....I wanted to install flash player, and then I heard about rooting my phone.... do i need to do this?

Hello billaricky, welcome to AF here is a link to the Desire C sub-forum HTC Desire C - Android Forums

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the link, panther!

Root is the same thing as getting admin access on your pc. It's pretty handy.

Flash isn't supported by Adobe for mobile any more, but it's popular to download it, and you should be able to install it without rooting.
