Yeah you're right mate and I was pretty much suggesting it as a last resort, maybe the phone has had a big firmware update? I always do a data wipe when changing Android version :thumbup:

I have used greenify b4 on my other phones. But i have not rooted this phone yet, i dint find any guides to root this phone. as it is very new to the market here.

You don't require Root for Greenify, I have it on both my Unrooted GS4 and GS2. You simply add Greenify in Accessibility and then use the Hibernate Now widget which closes all marked apps that are awake one by one.
