Good Traffic Apps?????

Hey guys,

My friend has an app on her iPhone that shows her a map of her location and what the traffic is like for each road/highway etc. It's very useful and I'm having a hard time finding a similar style app from the Android Marketplace.

What apps do you guys use for map-style traffic reports?

Thanks.

Are you looking for something more than turning on the Traffic Layer in Google Maps? If so, can you be more specific.

Inrix gives you the same thing using a different traffic source for a second opinion of sorts....

I use Google Maps traffic all the time while going to work. It updates like every 10 min. and is pretty accurate. To activate it, just open Google navigation and press the Map button. It will then take you to the map, showing your location in 3D. The roadways will be color coded Red, Yellow and Green. (Works in landscape and portriat) You can even drag the map ahead to get a better view of traffic further along.

I tried Trapster for a bit and liked it but there were not enough users around me. I now use Waze which provides more information than Google Maps, for me anyhow. Waze does a pretty good job of telling you when traffic is building ahead on your route. But it is a bit too cutesy sometimes - little animations that you are suppose to drive to and get "points". Just more to distract a driver.
