goodbye unlimited data

I used 250M on my Blackberry last month, probably most streaming music with Wunder Radio while I ride to work, 3 days a week. My Curve is also not 3G or Wifi capable, so surfing the web is painful now, so most of my data is Wunder Radio, Google Maps & Emails. I suspect my usage will go up dramatically with a Dell Streak 3G with that 5" screen.

Based on AT&T "data calculator" most of the usage comes from Music and Videos. As Download speeds grow, so will usage.

My big question and hope to stop the continued growth of usage is Wifi Hot Spots. Is data sent over a Wifi Hot Spot goes to count as usage? If not, than any Wifi capable device shouldn't be too hard to keep usage down.
