well its with mixed emotions i am giving up my x10,,

its a good phone, that in another manufactures hands would have been a great phone, but sony in all there wisdom have done it again

thanks to my carrier they have given me the opportunity to change my phone(with no hassle at all, which leaves me to believe there must be alot of complaints about SE)

hope you guys the best with 2.1 and i hope they eventually do give you more then 2.1 your patience is to be commended, with all the waiting, changing of dates, the incorrect info,, and mostly the lack of customer support from SE, my hat is off to you

Any reason why you are changing - and what to ?

OH AND

Oh yes thats probably the reason - most likely though is that they just don't want to go through your complaint, have to put a service credit on there, costing them money

yes first and foremost are two things one being battery life,, so carrier offered me a replacement,, then when i asked about software update they instantly offered me to change phone,, ( i use skype alot)

so as much as i really didnt want to i went back to iphone

i will get back into the android market when it gets its ducks in order as i love the concept

I'm glad for whatever expectations I have from this phone. Apparently I must be designed for this phone to enjoy it so much. To be satisfied with it as-is is apparently rare.

Something like this leaves me feeling good when I stop to reflect on it.. so thanks :) and that is in no way insincere. I'm always appreciative of opportunities to feel thankful.

Everything in life is strictly what you choose to make of it. :)

Good luck with the iPhone.

What carrier are you using? I wish AT&T would do this and heck, maybe they are.. If so, please let me know! Thanks:)

to be honest i would love to get rid of mine...i cant seem to get everything right and configured on the phone to make me 100% happy and also, who would want to buy it as the problems / let downs are more known than the popes visit a few months ago.

Also:

What phone do i get next?? There is nothing out there that catches my "eye" maybe:

> Samsung Galaxy S
> Nokia N8 (hated symbian s60 so not sure what the new symbian is like)
> HTC Desire HD (not released yet) or
> HTC HD7 (windows 7 phone...something very new on the market...but if other windows phones are to go buy...maybe not!)

But then one thing that annoys me is all the options that come with most apps, its nice to have options but some apps do really make it to hard and long to configure.

I will probably just live with what i have got....it makes calls and texts and receives email...eventually!! (even though when i am on a call and i get a text...the phone hangs up!!)

Just hope 2.1 will make me feel more happy with it

im with rogers in canada,, maybe it due to the fact they where tired of giving me free data ,, as 3 times the phone gobbled up loads of it all on its own,, (2x of that was with phone reset and no third party apps)

plus they told me just to keep the phone so i will still have the opportunity to use it,,as i really do like its strong points,,but its weak points are its downfall and the weakest point is SONY,,

yes the dreaded hang up with a text,,, now that drives me completly crazy,, and i blame it on the phone looking for that stupid timescape,,just my theory,,

they gave me options,,i went with iphone,,only cause i know them and they do work,, and i would actually love the iphone if not for itunes,,,

Thats bizarre - never once had the phone hangup when receiving a text - maybe thats because i don't use timescape or stock messaging (no i'm not rooted)

As for app settings - what is it you're trying to set up - maybe one of us on here knows what it is and how to do it easily :D

Good luck with the iPhone though - esp if its 4 (everyone in my workplace has returned them)

oh well im back to a 30/30 trial it will go back also..so we will see,,, maybe i will be back to the android game quickly,,, but it likely wont be with sony,,,
Good luck with the IPhone, they are good although not what I want.

I really like my x10, inspite of att barring sideloading. I will keep mine until my upgrade 6 months out and see if there is anything that interests me. :)
