Google 5.0 Maps hack?

[steslatt]

I've read on a site that it is possible to hack google maps 5.0 to enable multi-touch. Is this possible? There is a guide on the site but the link for the download is broken.

Er, multi-touch for e.g. tilting the map etc. seems to work perfectly on my Desire without hacking anything at all. What exactly are you trying to do?

Rotate doesn't work for most people. Thread here;

It is multi touch. If you're unable to use multi touch it's not Google Maps that's the issue.

I originally posted this in the Desire section because its an issue with the desire not google maps but the thread got moved. The hack is for nexus one and desire...

Just to check we are talking about the same thing here. Rotate i mean with 2 fingers in a twist movement and the map turns, not rotating with the compass as you move the phone?

[titan2005]

By default the Nexus 1 does not include the 2 fingers rotation.
The rotation with compass work but once out of your locations it stop.

I got the 2 finger rotations to work by following this thread
