Help Google Account Contact Sync

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has been having issues with syncing Google contact info to a Nexus?

OS: Android JellyBean 4.1
Carrier: Vodafone IE

For the last 2 days everything but my contact info syncs fine. When I look at my phone in the mornings, the contact list is empty, and the little circle for contacts beside my account is just static and stuck, not moving.

If I turn it off, and turn it on, then leave it for a few minutes it seems to kick it back into gear, but in general is verrryy slow...

Anyone experienced the same/similar behaviour?

for some reason the contact sync was hanging and was draining my battery like there was no tomorrow.

Just done a factory reset on it, so will see if the issue occurs...could be an issue with Google. No-one else experience this no?

That's a very strange one indeed. Never had that happen on my end, especially with my contacts. They should still be in your phone, even when your account hasn't synced up, unless it's the very first time you've added the account.

Hopefully it was just a glitch, and should be good from here out

That's what I thought, but my contact list would show blank, and then a few minutes later was back full again, give another couple of minutes or a reboot and it was gone again!

It's syncing up at the moment, so I shall see I suppose lol
