Help Google adds contact to phone every time i reply

Is there a way to stop this or make my phone book look at a specific group in my contacts rather than ALL CONTACTS? It's very annoying every time I reply to someone it adds an entry to my phonebook on my eris

I spent an hour sorting out all my Gmail contacts, then let it sync up, then I went to Settings>Data Sync>Google>and then uncheck "Contacts". I've got all the contacts I need, and I can always update in the future.

Can you give us some more information? What are you replying to? Are you saying that you have multiple copies of the same contact under People?

If you press your "People" icon at the bottom of the screen you can choose to view all, favorites, groups...
