Help Google ads on i1

Lurker
Hello all! New here and to the smart phone world. I have been patiently working through settings and applications to get the phone to do the things I want but, at some point, my phone started running banner ads at the bottom of my screen when connected to the web. Is this something I can turn off and if so, I would appreciate some guidance from those who are willing to help an old lady get this annoying thing off my screen. My eye sight could use all the space I can get to read these screens. (Glasses included.) ;)

Thanks ahead of time.

This is not an iPhone forum. If you have an iPhone, your in the wrong place (for help), please confirm you have Android.

Her device to the left says Motorola i1 - the thread name says ads on i1 - I'd suggest that this is just a simple case of referring to the phone by a common class name.

Mary, if you can't get us screen shots, that's ok - can you tell us if this happens on every website you're visiting or give us a sample website address to confirm what you're seeing (NOT confirm that you are seeing it - just to confirm WHAT you're seeing)?
