Help Google App not working

I have a, Moto G android.
When I turn on my blue tooth, (Jabra) and try to make a call, I get this: "Google not responding".
I go to the google icon, and when I click on that I get: "Can't reach google at the moment".
This does not happen all the time, it is kind of erratic.
I haven't done anything in the way of changes, it just started doing this today Sunday 01/10/16.

I am having more serious problem. Phone saying Google apps not working and cannot use the phone at all.
