Google Apps on Android

I'm rather surprised there's no Google Apps for the Android where I can edit documents and upload them? Does anyone know if there are plans to implement anything for this?

Try this app >>> Cyrket - Androffice it handle Open document forment ODS,

Office suite for Android
You can view, edit and create spreadsheet documents in:
-Open Document format (.ODS)
-Microsoft Format (97-2003) (.XLS)
-Comma Separated Value (.CSV)

It's not that I'm short of something to edit Word and Excel files with, I now have 'Documents To Go' which covers that. I'm just surprised Google haven't incorporated all it's things into the Android OS. You would think Google Apps would want to put up a fight against Office...

Well that is a different point of view from your previous post ...

Have you checked out Google Docs ? I will probably make it to the phone ... but uploading documents to Google docs and processing them there does make sense ...

IMO i would not like to create/edit even medium size documents on the current phone and small keyboards ... When he get a BT keyboard driver ... that would change things ... but for now the state of Docs is fine for me.

With Google it's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of "when". Pretty much all the google goodies will make their way to the Android sooner or later. When they launched the g1 there was no support for uploading pictures to picasa, and nothing for Google Voice. Cupcake brought us native picasa upload support and now there's an official GV app from google. Just before cupcake launched, they added web-browser based spreadsheet editing in google docs. It's merely a matter of time.
