Google Assistant Icon....

Hello - wanted to find out if anyone can help with removing the GA from the home page or move it lower on the home page altogether?

I have found out how to disable, but not move or remove.

Hm - I don't see a Google Assistant icon on my home page - I do have the Google Search icon (top left) on the home page. If you wanted to remove the Google Search icon, I think you can install an alternate launcher (I don't think the stock launcher allows you to remove that)

jj Thank you for getting back. Yes, it must be that, Google Search, yet when either touching it or swiping it, the page moves left to expose GA or so I thought? I will have my own phone here in three (3) weeks to re-verify.

At any rate, it is that icon in the upper left corner I wanted to remove, if possible. OR, can I move to the next page on the right and make that my landing page so I Am not bothered by the icon?

When you touch the Google Seach, it basically expands the search bar and lets you perform a Google search (it doesn't move left).

I think the only solution would be to switch to an alternate launcher. The stock launcher on the stock ROM doesn't permit you to remove that search icon. Nova, Apex are supposedly good replacements (with other benefits). Personally, I like the search icon there, so I haven't really had a reason to switch to a different launcher. But everyone has their own preference :)
