Google Assistant No Sound

Hi just as title above no sound when I say ok Google, I've tried many things deleting the voice was the first thing I tried, but when I retrain my voice I don't have to say anything it says it's good and already done but how can it be if I just deleted it so that could be the problem, even when I delete the app I still don't have to do the voice train part.

I've cleared the Google app cache, deleted all data, checked to see if everything is turned on, all the tips that are out there I've tried so I was hoping someone can help thanks.

Google assistant and Google app are 2 entirely different apps.
Is your media volume up all the way?

I know they are but it tells you as one of the fixes to delete cache on Google app, and Google play, it never worked any way yes the media is all the way up.

here i found this that might help you:

the second post has the answer. i could not follow precisely to get to the assistant menu as described in the post. for me on my note 10+ i went into my phone's setting and did a search for google assistant. the main thing is to make sure that the speech output is set to on.[/QUOTE

Hi thanks I've done all that and still no sound I don't think it's the app, I think it could be my phone, when I go in to assistant settings, you've probably seen the two voices you can pick from either male or female females red with check mark and males orange, when I press either one for a demo the voices work, if I press again they don't, and if I alternative between the two the male voice works sometimes and vice versa.

So my point is there is sound there but something seems to block it when it's working in real time, and I don't know what.

just an fyi on how this forums works everything inside of the [] brackets will be included in the previous post if you hit the reply button. you need to enter your reply after the [/quote] part.

so it should have looked like this:

so how do you know there is sound, if nothing comes out? and just to be sure the speech output is turned on?

Hi I accidentally did the quote thing, can you not please at least give me some credit read my post, I said I turned everything on I'm not an idiot don't you believe me, do I need to send screen shots to prove I've turned the media button right up there's sound, cause I can hear music, the voice output is on I know how to do it I've done the basics why can no one at least come up with something new you're just saying the same thing read my post.

i never said you were an idiot. i was just trying to be helpful.....if you do not want my help, then bye.....see ya

and you never mentioned if the speech output was turned on.

ps maybe a factory reset might be in store as i have no idea what is going on.

BYE BYE!!!!!

No probs I know you never it just felt like you were asking me all the things I had done,

Heres a sentence from my original thread below.

Checked to see if everything is turned on, all the tips that are out there I've tried.

So I never specifically said I turned on speach output but since you knew you're way round the settings in assistant I assumed you would have thought I covered that.

I came here to get help and you tried to help and I appreciate it, it just felt like you were being a little condisending, if you weren't then my apologies, anyway last night I did a factory reset and came on here and seen your post so we both had the same thinking lol anyway it worked I have sound and found out that Assistant is built into my device, but I never knew and downloaded it and maybe that's when I started the problem lol.

To be honest I might not even use it much but it just bugs me when things don't work properly, I need to work on my obsessions lol, anyway factory reset to the rescue lol, so I never meant any offence thanks.

Lol posted twice now I do look like an idiot lol, wish you could delete a post on here, I'm doing it on my phone and things tend to jump about and you kind of lose your place and hit the wrong button, anyway that's my excuse.

its all good....i was not trying to be condescending what so ever. if you thought that, then my apologies. i'm glad that the factory reset worked for you.

i'd give you a high five, but we are supposed to be responsible adults and be socially distant.

here is one anyways:
