Google Calander Sync problems

Hi

Im having issues getting my Google Calander app to syn on my Samsung Galaxy note 8 software version 4.1.2

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and it is working perfectly fine (running 4.2.2 )

On the Note 8, when I go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Click my Google account. It shows all the things it sync, but Calander is not listed, and it should be because it is on my phone

The note 8 when going the google sync settings it says "Sync is currently experiencing problems it will be back shortly" - This was 3 days ago

What ive tried:

Clearing Cache and data on Google Calander
Force stopping it and restarting
Uninstalling it and re-installing it ( the sync errors went away after uninstalling)
Restarting device

Is google calander not working with android version 4.1.2 ?

Try removing your Google account and then re-adding it. That's fixed almost every problem I've ever had with my Google accounts.

What ive tried:

What sync errors are you getting? Is it an issue syncing the calendar from your device to your google account? I have noticed when you create an event on your device that while creating the event you will want to make sure you are selecting which calendar you want to use which in this case would be your google user name.
