Help google calendar & contacts not syncing again

My google contacts & calendar are not syncing. Google drive and other google services are syncing fine.
Contacts and calendar just say "sync is currently experiencing problems..."

I have tried:
-disable auto sync and try manual sync.
-remove and re-add my google account.
-disable automatic time sync, then try syncing.
-clear the contacts app cache.

I am running a galaxy s7, fully up to date.
Besides a factory reset, im not sure what else to try, any help appreciated.

Hi.

I am syncing an outlook.com exchange account but its working fine.
The issue is only with my google contacts and google calendar.

I have, all my contacts are there, and i cant see any reason that they shouldnt sync.
Are you indicating i should be able to see an issue when viewing the contacts from a pc?

I just bit the bullet and done a full factory reset. it resolved the issue. Android just gets bloated and buggy the longer its running i think, like windows of old.
