Google Calendar-Facebook oddity..?

Hey
I recently upgraded my HTC Legend to Android 2.2.
I noticed that my calendar automatically shows the birthdays of my Facebook contacts... which I think is great apart from one anoying thing. For some reason it also adds a planned notification for only some of the birthdays. What's up with that?

Does anyone know what is causing this? Is it a glitch or what's going in? I don't actually want any notifications although I would like to have the birthdays show up in the calendar.

That's normal. I dont think you can just turn off the notifications and leave the event. I mean, you can do it one by one, but i dont think you want to do that. If you want to disable that all together, in the calendar app, hit menu-view and uncheck facebook. thats the only way I know of, maybe someone else knows another way.

No I'm talking about people's birthdays. They show up in my calendar. Some of them show up twice, once as a normal birthday and once as a birthday with notifications.

I also know that I can turn the facebook calendar off completely, but as I said, I wouldn't mind seeing whoes birthday it is everyday on my phone, I just don't want to get beeping notifications or anything like that about birthdays of people on my facebook (because let's face it, how many of the people you have on facebook really matter to you?).

Well thanks for the reply anyway, let's stay on it and maybe we can figure this out:)

Ok, well that's because you are getting a notification from your calendar app, as well as the Facebook app. You can turn off notifications for the facebook app in the settings for it.
