I managed to successfully sync my calendar in Google Chrome with my calendar on my Samsung Ace (s5830i) but the latter has stopped syncing altogether, i.e. the phone calendar is now blank where it was previously working correctly.
I've accessed settings and sync is checked. I do not have 2-step verification. My only thought is that sync may have been "lost" when I put the calendar into a folder (using the phones own folder set-up procedure). I cannot be sure that the two are related in terms of timing though.
Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

A lot of users blame their device or some action they've taken while using the device.
Relocating the calendar probably did confuse the syncing system, so I'd move it back first, then, if no joy, I'd do the unthinkable and clear cache and data in Gmail and calendar, reboot and re-setup my Google/Gmail account. Your backup will take care of most things like contacts, etc, but I would not expect to see calendar entries make it through the process.
