Google Calendar Sync

Is there a way for me to have my events on my calendar synced directly with my Google Calendar in order to get email notifications of what I have on my schedule? I used to have this ability with the ipod touch, and since this is a GOOGLE Android phone, you would think it would be possible here.

Any help is appreciated!

When creating a new event, make sure you click on "Calendar" and change from "My Calendar" to your Google account. You'll have to remember to do this manually each time you enter a new event... there's no way to set it as default unless you use a 3rd-party calendar app (such as Jorte or Gemini). You can also go back and edit existing events you accidentally set to "My Calendar".
