Help Google Calendar

The Google Calendar installed on my little Android Nexus is a day behind, but I see no way I can reset it.

Can it be reset to the correct day of does Google prefer to ignore our BST?

system settings
date&time
is automatic date & time and automatic timezone ticked?

Is location enabled (if it is a wifi only device)
