Help google chat/ talk

i got my droid 3 two days ago and cannot find the icon for google chat/talk. i want to instant message through google with my connections on gchat. i know i can download meebo and other instant messaging apps.
i've read that gtalk should be part of the initial package on my phone, and i can't seem to find it anywhere.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks. i'm assuming app drawer is the black box on the bottom right corner / top right of my home screen.
it's definitely not there.

i have browser, google search, email, camera, gmail, google+, text messaging, dialer, market, apps, settings.

any ideas/ thoughts?

the guy who set up my phone at the store was very rushed, i'm wondering if somethings were missed in set up?

Sorry, thought you knew how to get to the app drawer. Look for 4 squares that make a bigger square, select that. It will pull up all of the apps that are installed on your phone...Talk is one of them.
You can long press on it and it will move it to whatever home screen you were on, as long as there is an empty space. You can also long press on a home and it will pull up a menu, you can add widgets and apps that way too. If you long press something on a home screen and drag it you can move to wherever you want.

edit: The 4 squares are on the phone, under the display. Press it and select applications.
