Google chrome

I have had Chrome on my SG3 phone from the beginning.

Suddenly it wants to freeze, and or appear to be doing something while leaving me looking at a blank page.
I can only assume that it is because of a recent update.

I know that they like to meddle then make things better as the problems appear, but they should consider that I do have another browser on my phone, and I am beginning to realize that it really ain't that bad.

In fact the only reason I seldom used it was because I wasn't used to its layout, and was under the assumption that Chrome would allow me to do things that my native browser would not do.

Imagine my surprise to discover that my assumptions were wrong.

I assume that eventually you will work the kinks out and I will be able to use Chrome again without having to force stop, and restart every other day.

In the mean time I prefer to use a browser that actually works when ( I ) want it to.

Do you have a browser you prefer, jajrussel?
Have to say I don't use a browser all that often on my phone but when I do, it is Chrome and I've never had it FC or freeze up before. I know there have been some recent updates in Chrome that perhaps have caused the problem?

My phone is pretty much my computer anymore. Chrome and Google has always pretty much been my preferred choice. The reason being that Google usually makes choices too the point of being usable without regard to who makes the toy you are using.

This outlook does cause problems, but it is an avoidable problem. What works on my toy today may not work tomorrow, because of blanket updates.

The updates are not specific to my toy. They are ment for innovation, and may be well tested on the newest of the new, but they don't always work on my toys which are not new. I can understand their wanting to keep up with tech, and their wanting to improve the usability of current tech, but these blanket updates are annoying, and at times suspect.

The most given answer to any tech problem is that you need to buy a new toy if you want it to work right. Really? I just paid x amount of dollars for this toy that was working fine. Now all hopes rest on the newest of the new?

My toys should work all the time not just when they get around to solving newly created problems.

These blanket updates are nullifying the one thing that made Google work from the get go.

I am not saying, don't let me get the most potential out of my toys. I am all for that, but make sure it is going to work before you turn the switch on.

I am tied of turning my toys on, and finding an update notification followed by a new problem, when my toy was working just fine before the meddling.

All this being said my toy is working fine. The only thing out of the picture is Chrome. This is what their blanket updates accomplish.

One other thing I noticed recently on my personal computer which is roughly eight years old and doing amazing things that at one time I was told it would never do.

I hardly ever used IE because it would bog down with the overload that they would dump on it. Chrome didn't have this problem, so chrome was the winner. The other day my Wi-Fi was refusing to work through chrome on the pc, so I switched to IE. I instantly got a sign page, signed in and took a look around IE. Still a little slow, but no blog from bloat. All the bloat was still there, but overall much faster than it used to be. Last time I did this I couldn't even scroll from the top of the page to the bottom without having to reboot to get my computer back.

Apparently they have gotten the message.
