Help Google contacts missing from accounts list

Greetings!! I have a new Proline 10" tab. I have added several gmail accounts and contacts fails to show up in the sync list. All other Google services show up including gmail, calendar and others but no contracts.

I'd this a Google issue?

Do you have google's Gmail app installed?

I do have gmail installed. It would be wonderful to have access to my contacts via the dialer, WhatsApp and other apps.

I logged a fault with the manufacturer as it looks to me like a bug in the script that adds Google accounts.
