Google Contacts Not Syncing

Hey guys so I've searched for recent forums on this issue and I'm not having any luck. My Nexus 4 keeps saying "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." But the problem is, it's been like that for the past 4 days now. Do you guys have any advice or experience with this problem?

I got contact sync a few hours ago, but I'm getting the same thing you are now. It's most likely a Google problem. (Don't ask how long it will take them to fix it - if they knew that, they'd know what's wrong, so it would be fixed already. The time it takes to fix a software problem is 99% figuring out what's wrong, then 1% fixing it.)
