Had just charged my phone, after a bit of 4g usage, I was down over 10% power way earlier than I should be. I looked on what was using power, and Google+ was responsible for 57% of that power! Am I missing something?

Do you have an automatic upload happening in the background?
Alternatively you could try uninstalling the last update and restarting and letting it download again and see if that fixes anything, or lastly try clearing the cache to remove any temporary files and that may help too.
Do you actually use G+ for anything? My rom uses aroma installer which allows me to remove it during the installation process.

If Google+ was updating, uploading or downloading something (which it might on a new phone or installation), that would account for it. Always give a new phone (or ROM) about a week to get things settled before trying to determine how fast it is or how good or bad the battery usage is.

My phone is from October, and I've had no reason to use Google+ for anything, unless a recent update made it go berzerk?
