Help Google Drive & Note 10.1

Lurker
I tried looking for previous threads on this issue and found none.

I just bought a Note 3 10.1 and was trying to get Google Drive to work.

My partner and I already use Google Drive on our PC's, so I was hoping I could get it to work on the my new tablet. The app installs, and I can access the cloud drive and open documents, and even modify them. But I cannot get an altered document back out to the drive. Apparently the app did not create a local "Google Drive" folder on the tablet like it did on my PC.

I never expected real-time edit/save to the cloud drive. I knew that I would have to save the altered document local on the tablet. I was just wondering if anyone else had a solution that didn't involve installing another app for syncing or having to change our cloud storage service.

The tablet came with DropBox pre-installed, but I disabled it in an attempt to get it to recognize the Google Drive app.

Any ideas on how to get Google Drive working correctly?

Kind of strange that Google Drive would not be the default app, since they come from the same developers.........

You can use multiple cloud storages on the device with all their respective apps installed. I have Box.net, Dropbox, Google drive, Skydrive, Copy, and Mega, all running on my tablet. They do not create a local folder because of the limited space on mobile devices. I do use an app called "foldersync" for files I want locally on the device, from which I can sync any local folder with a folder in cloud storage. The paid version can do automatic, manual, and two way sync.
