Google Earth not running correctly

When I go to any location on Google Earth, the location is marked in the middle of the screen but there are no images - just a green screen. I have reinstalled the app. to no effect. Any ideas...

PS This is my first post and I have (incorrectly) posted this in "Introductions" and can't see how to remove it from there.

It is said that doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results is a sign of madness. Well I have deleted and reinstalled Google Earth 3 times and on the third occasion it worked perfectly

Am I mad?
