Google+ has stopped working?

Is anyone else getting a random error message saying "Google+ has stopped working"? I don't use the G+ app at all and every so often my phone locks up and I get that message. Jellybean 4.1.2 - Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE

I haven't come across that issue - but then, I haven't installed any updates to G+ in ages: it may be an issue with a more recent version.

You could try removing updates and / or disabling the app (Settings .. Apps .. All apps find and tap Google+ then tap the appropriate button).

My Moto X has been doing that all day yesterday and today for no apparent reason. I haven't done anything except log in and turn on picture backup.
