Rumors ahead of Google I/O suggested Google was getting ready to build their own VR headset. While that didn't come to fruition immediately, the company did say they had plans to create a Daydream VR headset and controller based on the specifications they will make public for other companies to make them.
Unfortunately no further details about such a headset have been given at this time, but we imagine it'll look similar to the wire-frame example Google showed on stage at Google I/O.
