Google location service

[waxlrose]

How does this work exactly. I have GPS turned off but Google location service turned on, and it can find where I am exactly. Even if i am in a building. Is it using cell towers or is it using GPS but not giving any indication of doing so.

Anyone?

It can use network towers to figure out where you are.

afaik it can locate you in two ways, network location (through the towers) and gps.

There are more than just 2 ways. WiFi can be used to determine location as well.

Turn around. See that guy in a black suit? Now turn around again slowly. No sudden movements.

Now you know.
