Cyrket - Google Maps

Works pretty well and is pretty fast. I don't like the idea that you can't navigate by your history of other searches, but the reviews is kinda cool and the fact that you can tailor your serch based on your mod of travel.

I wanna try this out, but some negative comments have me scared.

"...Can't delete cache...app is huge...street view hard to find etc."

How do I go back to old version of maps if I uninstall this version? Will it just revert on its own? Do both versions stay on your phone?

Anyone know?

Do you think you need Places Directory with the new Google Maps? I currently have both.

Has anyone been able to install the new version, then uninstall and go back to original maps without suffering any problems? Thanks in advance!

Turn phone off ...
Hold the Menu Key + Power On ... continue hold menu until you see
"Safe mode" in light type in the bottom left corner of the main display...
Goto into settings and Applications | Manage Applications ..

Select Google maps and then uninstall ...

Power off phone ... Normal reboot ....

Then try a reinstall of the Maps

Is anyone else seeing the following bug? I'm not sure if it's the new maps app, or the 1.5 update causing it, but when I enter coordinates in the search field, instead of marking the location I specify, it always pick the nearest building, or street address. So far, I haven't found a way around this extremely annoying bug.

on my phone you have to hit the power on first then as phone is starting up hit menu. I did this and got into safe mode but there is NO options to uninstall the maps. and the new mapp app will not install. says .."package file was not signed correctly."
