Root Google Maps freezes in CM7 (Cryanogenmod 7.2)

I recently rooted and installed Cm7.2 on Incredible. I love the overall look/feel after switching to my trusty LauncherPro and doing some customizations.

However, Google Maps froze up on me several times on a road trip this weekend, almost causing me to miss my appointment times (it would say 12 miles to go, for example, even when we were almost to the exit).

This seems to be a known issue but nothing conclusive online. Anyone know a fix?

That would be SUPER DUPER TERRIFIC if anyone knew a solution...

Actually, what I did was go to ROM Manager and select the most recent Google Apps add-on. Not sure if this cured it directly or indirectly, but I haven't had any issues since. Maybe I had an outdated Google.

My new problem is my screen randomly turning off in CM7 with LauncherPro, but I will creat a new thread
