Google Maps Gps False History

I have a Galaxy S3 with Sprint and I have the Google bar app. When I go to the little home page, it shows me things like the weather, commute time to work, my recent amazon purchase update, but recently I have noticed along with my workplace commute time and location, it also shows me a location I have never been to with the commute time.

I opened up my Google Maps and looks into its history and I see that this particular location shows up and says I have been to it 12 times in the month of February. Now this place is about 5 mins away from my house, it's an apartment complex and the destination line stops in the middle of the complex.

I have called Sprint and the number Sprint gave me for Google support (some guy in India) and they were absolutely No help at explaining this.

I'm concerned, naturally. I am the only one that carries and uses my phone, ever.
So is my phone/account/network being compromised or what the hell is going on?

Also it shows me commuting to work at 6am, when I never go in earlier than 11am.

Anyone had this happen to them? Any idea what it is?

the gps history isnt exactly gps, it is using the cell tower location. so it is showing your location at the cell tower instead of where you actually are.
this happens to me since i live in a fringe area. my history shows me about 5 miles from my real position as i travel to/from work.
