So I can't seem to get an accurate location using the stock Google Maps app. I have GPS enabled but it almost never finds me. It usually shows a spot south west of my house but sometimes if I go in it'll show me a spot 10 blocks east of my house and once every blue moon it'll be exactly right. It is always one of those 3 spots though which I find kind of strange how it jumps between them.
On my Incredible it pinpointed me to a T without fail every single time and now on my S3 (with 4g consistently working), it's not even close and always says it's only accurate to 700 meters. The odd part is the hubby's got an S3 as well and every time I test his, it is spot on and 100% accurate.
I did try to 'improve my accuracy' and when I clicked the link it said "Improve My Location: not all location sources are currently enabled. For the fastest and most accurate location detection: - Turn on wifi."
What does that mean? I don't have wifi currently at home but why would that be more accurate than the GPS? It never made a difference in my 2 years with my Incredible.
